THE SHIMANO VANQUISH 23 vs SHIMANO STRADIC 23
Filmed immediately prior to a thunderstorm rolling in! An honest comparison, based on 18 months of continual and concurrent use. The Vanquish and Stradic are BOTH excellent spinning reels, with the former regarded as a ‘premium’ piece of equipment, and the patter being classed as ‘high-end’. In this production (my first ‘review’ on this newly created YouTube Channel) I compare these to two popular reels, and ultimately provide a suggestion as to which reel to purchase. I discuss the following:
- Is the difference in price worth it? (Or can it be justified)
- What are the main differences? (Price, weight, materials used, etc.)
- Where these respective reels are made, and does it matter?
- How durable are they? (I discuss various water resistant/protection components)
- How long can you expect them to last? (Based on 18 months of continual use)
- Which reel to purchase, with an ‘alternative’ also suggested.
As ever, my best mate, Bertie the Border Terrier makes a few fleeting appearances, and my fledging editing and drone flying capabilities are demonstrated (I’ve had few close shaves with the drone!) that highlight the majestic beauty of the south Devon coastline.
Of note, is that the footage was achieved as a thunderstorm approached the coastline – some of which was captured on film! Enjoy!
