Why I’ specifically targeting the murkier water with the Creature Baits…
The 60cm+ bass in the featured image, a stunner with that gorgeous, over-wintering blue tinge to its fins, was a fish that I hooked, landed, and returned (see release video at the bottom of this post) in mid-January – so mid-winter essentially.
What’s more, although I’ve now landed many, many more in the 50-60cm range since ‘The Bells’ chimed in 2025 (that’ll cover in a follow up post), this particular bass was as a result of switching both my tactics, and changing the actual lure – over to the Megabass Sleeper Craw in this case.
